2nd Quarter 2020: COVID-19 had a strong impact on the local economy in Q2 2020, pushing performance down 19.8% when compared to the previous quarter.
 
Q2 2020 data shows COVID-19 impacts on the local economy, while future reports are expected to show more.

CA WELCOME CENTER = VOTE CENTER
Your Vote Counts: The El Dorado County Registrar of Voters has placed an official Ballot Drop box inside the California Welcome Center, 2085 Vine Street, Ste. 105, which is adjacent to our Chamber inside El Dorado Hills Town Center. Our Welcome Center will become an official Vote Center with staffing on October 31st through November 3/Election Day. There will be safe, social distancing guidelines in place.
EL DORADO COUNTY IS THE NEW ORANGE
Sacramento - On September 22, Governor Gavin Newsom and El Dorado County's Public Health Officer, Dr. Nancy Williams announced that El Dorado County has met the requirements to move from red to orange in the Blueprint for a Safer Economy.

At a minimum, counties must remain in a tier for at least 3 weeks before moving forward. To move forward, a county must meet the next tier’s criteria for two consecutive weeks. Public health officials are constantly monitoring data and can step in if necessary.
GOVERNOR SIGNS LAWS FOR COMPANIES ON COVID-19 REPORTING & WORKERS' COMP
The Sacramento Bee - SB 1159 and AB 685 were signed into law on September 17, 2020. Employers must give the notice within one business day of finding out that their subcontractor at the worksite or employees has tested positive or is ordered to self-isolate. Article by Jeong Park

HARASSMENT TRAINING: We have partnered with the California Chamber of Commerce to bring you required California Harassment Prevention Training. Under the new law, SB 778, all employees, supervisory and non-supervisory, must be trained by January 1, 2021.
 
BUSINESS LICENSING: Remember to keep your business license current, whether you are home-based, remote, or in-person.
