What's ahead with Hephzibah62:4?

Walk out of the gates. Get going! Get the road ready for the people. Build the highway. Get at it! Clear the debris, hoist high a flag, a signal to all peoples! Yes! God has broadcast to all the world: “Tell daughter Zion, ‘Look! Your Savior comes, ready to do what he said he’d do, prepared to complete what he promised.’” Isaiah 62:10-11 MSG

Hi Jodi,

God has been so faithful through the last four years of rebuilding our organization according to a new vision. We’re grateful to be clearing remaining debris and completing the “highway” that will take us into the next stage of multiplying our mission of equipping and mobilizing local Wesleyan churches to transform the lives of vulnerable children.

There are many on-ramps to this “highway” for individuals, families, and churches, that allow us to travel together in Kingdom-building ministry. As we put into place several new partner benefits, round out our grant offerings, and work to hire a third staff member, we claim the promise of the Savior in Isaiah 62 that he is “ready to do what he said he’d do, prepared to complete what he promised” through Hephzibah62:4.

The timing seems right, as we face a culture increasingly hostile to the Church and with facets of the Church itself facing an identity crisis. Consider this strong challenge to the Church that was recently issued by Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, Dr. Stephen Grcevich, MD:

“Our most effective and impactful witness…is the love we demonstrate through our care of the most vulnerable in society. Folks in my line of work are more likely to see the Bible as a tool of oppression than a repository of truth. What does get their attention is when they see us providing respite care for families of kids with disabilities who can’t access respite anywhere else, providing foster families for kids who have experienced serious trauma and neglect…or providing opportunities to persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities for productive and meaningful work and authentic community.” (Access the full message here.)

We serve a Savior who is the hope of the world and keeps his promises, and he has been preparing us all for such a time as this!

Thank you for joining us in prayer and partnership,

Jodi and team

P.S. Help us find our new team member by sharing our Hephzibah62:4 job posting, as God leads. Find it here and here. Applications will be accepted through 8/29/23.
