Tara Smith, GRMS's 2018 Robert Ax Award Recipient!
The Robert Ax award is awarded to t eacher/staff recipients by their colleagues. It was established in 1969 to honor, upon his retirement, founding GRHS Principal Robert H. Ax, who traveled across the U.S. in the mid-1950s, interviewing hundreds of prospective teachers for the then-new high school, and hiring a select few, many of whom went on to establish national recognition in their fields.
