UPDATED information about the PSAT!
10 th  & 11 th  Graders – Don’t miss a great opportunity!
What is the PSAT?  The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test that provides first-hand practice for the SAT. It also gives Grade 11 students a chance to enter National Merit scholarship programs and gain access to college and career planning tools. Students will also receive feedback on their strengths/weaknesses for college preparedness.
Who takes this test?  This optional test is a national assessment for  Grade 11  students and is used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program.   Grade 10  may take it as a practice SAT test; they may not enter the National Merit scholarship competition until their junior year.
When and Where is the test?     Wednesday, October 10, 8:00 AM– 12:15 PM .  Test will be in North Gym . If you have a calculator, please bring it!  If you do not have one, we will provide calculators.
Sign up by Friday, October 5!
How can students sign up?   Tuesday, September 18 through Friday, September 21 sign up in the lunch room. Or see Mr. Heymans or Mrs. Kroger in the counseling office, Room 103, to sign up. You will recieve a practice booklet with your registration. The cost is $15. Juniors on free/reduced lunch program do not need to pay.

The RHS theater department and volleyball team are participating in the Ren Fest fundraiser for our 3rd year. We will be parking cars and will receive a cash payment in exchange that will be used to fund 2 play productions this year. We are working Sept 22 & 23. On each day we need 10 adults and 10 teens to be at Ren Fest at 8:15 a.m. and work until we are let go (generally before 4pm but could be later). Teens can volunteer without a parent as long as we have enough other adults to supervise.

Please email  to let me know which day(s) and how many people in your family can attend. We can coordinate car pools from RHS if needed.
