The Minneapolis Alpine Ski Team (MAST) welcomes athletes to register for the 2018-2019 season. MAST is a competitive MPS high school alpine ski racing team open to MPS students in grades seven through twelve. Below is a quick overview. For registration or more information, visit our website · The season runs from Nov 12 (dryland until the snow falls) to Feb 13.

We welcome students of all ability levels who have a desire to learn and master the skills of alpine skiing and the tactics of slalom racing. We have space for the first 100 athletes to register. Our season is just over fourteen weeks long. Once the ski areas open, we usually offer six to seven training sessions a week at Hyland Hills and elsewhere. We expect athletes to attend at least three training sessions a week when races are scheduled, and four when they are not. · Races are held at Hyland Hills as well as Welch Village, Wild Mountain, Giants Ridge and Spirit Mountain · Depending on one’s level of participation, the cost is approximately $675-$1,425 excluding equipment. · Parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer, this helps keep our costs significantly lower than those of club teams.
