There is no entrance fee for groups who want to participate. However, since it starts at dusk, please make sure your group is well illuminated.
Various choral groups will be set up at different locations along the parade route to perform at around 5:30pm.

Do you yearn to stand in your power and speak your truth? ? Is it time to listen to the poetry of your own soul and to experience the freedom of your authentic voice? Are you ready to unlock your creative potential and to reclaim your self expression?
Join Suzanne for this ecstatic mind/body immersion into the heart of soulful self-expression and discover your ability to live, express and embody your truth. This practice will combine yoga asanas with sound healing, chanting and singing, ecstatic movement, and deep ritual, leading you to access your own true voice and embodied creativity. We will break free from the stifling grip of the inner critic, heal deep seated patterns that have kept us silent and focus on freeing the natural voice. As we find and experience the power of our individual voices we will sing together to create joyful community that rises in song.
You will learn:
*how to unlock your creative potential and find the self-expression that fits you best
* to understand and heal the core traumas that keep you protected but shut down
* to understand the science of sound healing as well as how to use your own voice as a tool for empowerment
* how the basic energy system of the body works and how to unlock the 5th chakra for purification & liberation
* how to reclaim your voice from the situations & people that forced you to hide your authentic voice
* how to remove blocks to power & confidence
*how to use words and songs
to awaken, heal, and build community
Cost is $300 which includes meals. On-site accommodations are available for an additional cost.

A struggling tourist hires two wannabe tour guides to take her to an active volcano.

STOKE is an award winning Big Island road film which made it's world premiere at the 38th annual Hawaii International Film Festival. Filmmakers will be in attendance to present this made in Hawaii feature film.
A year after the sudden death of her fiancé, Los Angeles litigator Jane is stuck, unable to let go and move forward. Searching for clarity and closure, she makes a spontaneous trip to the Big Island of Hawaii to visit an active volcano.
Upon arrival, Jane enlists the help of Dusty and Po, two locals pretending to run an adventure tour company. As the trio drive across the island en route to the volcano, an unexpected detour takes the group in a new direction as the story explores love, loss, and lava.

The Hilo Elks Lodge 759 Presents its annual
World of Magic show
This year's special performers are Harmony On Tap and magician Glen Bailey.
Harmony On Tap is a women a cappella group based in Hilo. Since 2009, this group of Cool women has been making Hot music for a Good cause, doing performances benefiting local charity groups.
Glen Bailey of Aiea, Oahu, is a 36-year performing veteran of close-up table side magic and stage magic shows for both adult and family parties. He delights his audiences by bringing laughter and smiles through his incredible Magic ability. He is the past president of the Hawaii Society of American Magicians and past president of the Hawaii Ring of the International Brotherhood of Magicians as well as a member of the "Order of Merlin". Glen performed in Hawaii over 150 shows a year for the past 25 years for first birthday parties, libraries, scouting events, corporate events, elementary and pre-schools, restaurants, and tourist groups.
Audience will also get to meet the Elks speech therapist Cory Sutter. She is based on the Big Island providing free services to keikis in need. At the end of the show, expect Santa to make a special appearance.
Sponsored by the Elks National Foundation and community members, admissions to this performance is free, and donations are welcome.

The Nutcracker Ballet
Island Dance Academy presents tap dancing soldiers, sword fighting combatants and whirling twirling ballerinas in this fund raising performance for Hilo's historic Palace Theater. As an added bonus, Christmas carols will be played on the Palace organ fifteen minutes before the shows start.
Tickets are $12 General Admission, $10 for children 12 and under or seniors 60+. Tickets are available at the Palace box office. For credit card orders, call the Palace at 934-7010, Monday through Friday from 10am - 3pm.
