Glory to God and Peace on Earth - virtual Advent Calendar | |
Christmas is coming, but what proceeds it is the glorious season of Advent. Amid the busy-ness and frantic preparations, take time to reflect with friends from all over the Diocese of Leeds.
Each day "opens" a new window in the virtual Advent Calendar with scripture, story, prayer, poem, or reflection to help us journey through the season. The voices of contributors will reflect our large and varied diocese. Bishops will offer their thoughts, with Bishop Nick offering a message for Christmas Day.
Bishop Smitha, who is leading on this project, said: "This is a season pregnant with God and with possibility. We pray for God's liberating light to shine in the darkness of our souls and situations. We remember with thanksgiving God's coming in history and with hope God's coming at the end of time."
The project originated with the Diocesan UKME Clergy group.
If you are interested in submitting, please contact Bishop Smitha at bishop.smitha@leeds.anglican.org.
