The new incoming Dean of Bradford, the Revd Andy Bowerman, has been introduced to figures from across the city and beyond at an informal meet and greet at the Cathedral. Revd Andy was welcomed at an event attended by the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, the Lord Mayor of Bradford, leaders from various faith groups from across the city, and more. Read more here
The Rt Revd Paul Slater, Bishop of Kirkstall, has written about his time in the diocese, the city of Leeds, and cricket, as he ends his innings and retires at the end of January. Please find what he has written on the diocesan website here.
Please pray for Tonga, urges the Bishop of Ripon, following the huge volcanic eruption which has hit the small island nation. Up to 80,000 people are affected after Tonga and other Pacific Islands suffered tsunamis and were covered in ash, also losing power supplies and communication. Read more here
Five churches in rural Yorkshire have been researching how to achieve the Church of England's target to be net carbon zero by 2030, and will be sharing their findings at an upcoming webinar. Hosted by the diocese, the webinar will offer the opportunity for other churches to learn more about the project and how these churches set about it. Read more here

The Diocese of Leeds is planning to run digital training in 2022. We believe digital will play an important role in the life and mission of the church moving forward, and wish to equip and support our churches in this area. The three cathedrals of the Diocese of Leeds have joined forces to produce a specially streamed on-line Commemoration for Holocaust Memorial Day. ‘Hosted’ by Wakefield Cathedral, it will include an introduction by Bishop Nick to the theme for this year’s Holocaust Memorial Day, ‘Be the light in the darkness’. Hosted by the Harrogate School of Theology & Mission, Bishop Toby will reflect on his experience in Bradford and more widely, sharing biblical and other theological resources that he's picked up along the way, including ways in which friendships and engagements with Muslim communities have enriched his own faith. The Diocese of Leeds is pleased to share its toolkit for churches as part of its strategy for achieving carbon net zero by 2030: Saving Creation. The toolkit invites churches to start on the pathway to carbon net zero by taking six steps towards the goal. Access it here
The Rhythm of Life is offering two courses for parishes to run locally, one centred on Creationtide and the other called "Finding your Rhythm". Each contains six or seven sessions and serves as a stepping stone for further engagement with the Rhythm of Life. Find all the resources and details here.
