A Pilgrimage to the Cross: an encounter with Christ in the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist

Saturday, March 2, 11am, Leeds Minster

The Book of Common Prayer commends private confession as a gift, ‘that by the ministry of God’s holy Word he may receive the benefit of absolution’. Many Christians know it to be a wonderful source of grace and comfort. But how difficult it is. There are a hundred vivid and convincing excuses to put it off. That’s why this intensely personal rite can be greatly helped when a number of Christians come together. ‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins.’

That is the intention behind the service at Leeds Minster on Saturday, March 2 at 11am, to celebrate the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist, with the Bishop of Beverley. Organized by The Society of St Wilfrid & St Hilda, it is open to everyone.
