This Sunday - 10am
During the month of June, we will be singing hymns from “Songs for the Holy Other,” which was commissioned and presented by the Hymn Society in 2019. This collection emerged from a desire by Hymn Society members to make queer hymns - hymns by, for, or about the LGBTQIA2S+ community - accessible to a wider range of congregations.
Rev. Dr. Chris Terrell will be delivering the sermon.
Our Gathering Jam Band will begin playing at 9:45am. So, arrive early and enjoy the music!
Enter the building at the top of large staircase that faces Stockley Gardens (Rd).

Pastor's Pick for the Week
For the World and It’s Peoples
O God, you are the hope of all the ends of the earth,
The God of the spirits of all flesh. Hear our humble
Intercession for all races and families on earth, that
You will turn all hearts to yourself. Remove from our
Minds hatred, prejudice, and contempt for those who
Are not of our own race or color, class or creed, that
Departing from everything that estranges and divides,
we may by you be brought into unity of spirit, in the
Bond of peace. Amen

Children are Always Welcome at Ghent UMC
Our Children's Church* takes place each Sunday during our worship service, following the children's message. Children ages 3 through 5th grade meet down the hall from the sanctuary for an age-appropriate Bible lesson and related craft or activity.
Children are welcome to remain in the service and utilize the activity bags in the back of the church.
Our nursery* is available for infants to age 3 beginning at 9:50am.
Our professional workers are CPR certified, and our staff and volunteers are fully background checked.
*Children's church and nursery are optional. You are welcome to keep your child(ren) in worship with you, if you prefer. Activity bags and rockers are in the back of the sanctuary, if you wish to use them.
A baby changing station is in the lobby. Go out the swinging door to the right of our Coffee Station. The changing station is near the staircase.
