November 7, 2025

This Sunday - 10am

Our Gathering Jam Band is bringing its vibrant energy to Worship tomorrow at 9:45am. Arrive early so you don't miss them! If the music moves you, grab a percussion instrument and play along.

The music is designed to enhance Worship which follows at 10 AM and will be led by our Pastor Rev. Britney Toner. She will also preach the sermon.

Although there is no Children's Church this Sunday, children are always welcome to be a part of Ghent UMC services. We have books and coloring items in the back of the sanctuary.

We, also, really want everyone to feel welcome at Ghent UMC. Adults, grab some coffee or tea in the back of the sanctuary before or during service. Then, stay after the service and chat with folks, if you want.

* Enter the building at the top of large staircase that faces Stockley Gardens (Rd).

Scripture

Haggai 2:1 - 9

Pastor's Prayer for the Week

Lord, if we are to be afraid of anything,

let it be the fear of not committing ourselves fully to you.

Let us fear that the day will pass without our having lightened the load of another.

Let us fear that someone will come looking for you and find only us. Amen.

In response to Christ's call to love one another, we want the members of our congregation to care for one another. In-person visits, prayers, phone calls, and mail are examples of the ways we reach out to one another.

Children are Always Welcome at Ghent UMC

Our Children's Church* takes place each Sunday during our worship service, following the children's message. Children ages 3 through 5th grade meet down the hall from the sanctuary for an age-appropriate Bible lesson and related craft or activity.

No Children’s Church on Sunday, November 9. Children are welcome to remain in the service and utilize the activity bags in the back of the church.

Our nursery* is available for infants to age 3 beginning at 9:50am.

Our professional workers are CPR certified, and our staff and volunteers are fully background checked.

*Children's church and nursery are optional. You are welcome to keep your child(ren) in worship with you, if you prefer. Activity bags and rockers, if you wish to use them, are in the back of the sanctuary.

A baby changing station is in the lobby. Go out the swinging door to the right of our Coffee Station. The changing station is near the staircase.
