This Sunday - 10am

This Sunday, please welcome guest minister Rev. Josh McCauley who will be preaching the sermon.

Rev. McCauley is the director of the Wesley Foundation, which is the United Methodist, student group at Old Dominion University.

He will offer Holy Communion to all during Worship.

Our choir will sing and be led by Minister of Music Nellwyn Beamon.

Join us. You don't want to miss your blessing!

Although there is no Children's Church this Sunday, children are always welcome to be a part of Ghent UMC services. We have books and coloring items in the back of the sanctuary.

We, also, really want everyone to feel welcome at Ghent UMC. Adults, grab some coffee or tea in the back of the sanctuary before or during service. Then, stay after the service and chat with folks, if you want.

* Enter the building at the top of large staircase that faces Stockley Gardens (Rd).

Pastor's Prayer for the Week

Almighty God,

you have knit together your elect

in one communion and fellowship

in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord.

Grant us grace so to follow your holy saints in all virtuous and godly living,

that we may come to those unspeakable joys,

which you have prepared for those who sincerely love you;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Children are Always Welcome at Ghent UMC

Our Children's Church* takes place each Sunday during our worship service, following the children's message. Children ages 3 through 5th grade meet down the hall from the sanctuary for an age-appropriate Bible lesson and related craft or activity.

No Children’s Church on Sunday, November 2. Children are welcome to remain in the service and utilize the activity bags in the back of the church.

Our nursery* is available for infants to age 3 beginning at 9:50am.

Our professional workers are CPR certified, and our staff and volunteers are fully background checked.

*Children's church and nursery are optional. You are welcome to keep your child(ren) in worship with you, if you prefer. Activity bags and rockers, if you wish to use them, are in the back of the sanctuary.

A baby changing station is in the lobby. Go out the swinging door to the right of our Coffee Station. The changing station is near the staircase.
