Recent Updates
A return to yellow involves more things than just a return to masking. The direction from the Conference is to continue to monitor the county numbers and make changes as needed. If the spread number is over 5% we should follow all of the yellow protocols. At this time(9/9), Crow Wing county is at 13.5%, Cass county is at 21.8%. If you are following along, this is another significant increase over last week unfortunately. Please prayerfully consider how to keep yourself and those around you safe.
Masking is the easiest thing that we can do. Everyone is expected to wear a mask within the building please. We are monitoring the county numbers closely and changes may happen rapidly. I am very concerned with the direction that the case numbers are currently headed. Please join me in prayer as we hold some rather large events at church in the next week.

September Mission Focus

Emma Norton Services has over 100 years of history serving the Twin Cities. The organization was founded in 1917 when a Minnesotan, Emma Norton, gave a gift to United Methodist Women to fund a program to support young women and girls in Minnesota. With her gift, the UMW created the “Methodist Home for Girls” to house young women traveling to the Twin Cities from rural Minnesota for work and education.
Emma Norton now serves over 300 people annually, including children and adults of all genders.
Today, Emma Norton is a radically compassionate and inclusive organization, using evidence-based policies such as harm-reduction and eliminating length-of-stay restrictions. We meet clients where they are and walk with them on their journey of recovery.
--Please note on your offering if you are giving to Emma Norton/September mission.
On behalf of the church, I would like to offer a heartfelt thank you for a very generous gift from "Community Giving" , at the direction of one of our members. In these uncertain times, it is indeed a blessing.
Thank you so very much!

Please pray for these two ladies who are the only local doulas in our area, and the work that they do. Pray also for the women and their families who benefit from this program. Don't be surprised if you see more information on how to support their work and about the history of this program in future newsletters.
