A Note from our Executive Director

NVEF is in the midst of handing out Spencer Colton Gold Star Teacher Grant awards to more 25 teachers, impacting more than 3,000 NVUSD students with projects like "HOPE: Printmaking for Social Change", "Mindfulness Through Expressive Art", "Growing Like Weeds", "Getting to the ROOT of Robotics", and more.

Teacher grants are our longest running program at NVEF. The Foundation was started in 1983 to funnel community donations and dollars straight back into classrooms. Since that time, we've expanded to provide district wide programming (Music Connection, Career Readiness, Wellness Programs, and more), while our grant program continues to reward teachers individually for innovation and student engagement. Our flagship teacher grants are thanks to generous contributions from Barbara and Ray Brogliatti, Chris Burditt, Carolyn Stewart and other local benefactors. The NVEF team is visiting schools this month to present awards in person.
In appreciation,
Jennifer Stewart, MPA
Executive Director
BBQ & Beer Battle Highlights!
The 9th Annual BBQ & Beer Battle raised a record-breaking $45,0000 for music, instruments and after school/summer camps. This year's crowd-favorite BBQ and Beer Winners were Heretic Brewing and Bartlett's BBQ. We are so appreciative of all the breweries and BBQ'ers who donated their time and talent to this event.
This year we hosted our event at Vista Collina. In addition to BBQ and beer, we also featured wine tasting, games, raffle, silent and live auction, live music by the Alan U'ren Band, and KVYN broadcasted live from the event. Thank you to all who attended. Stay tuned for early-bird ticket sales soon!  Check out the awesome newspaper article about the BBQ & Beer Battle in the  Napa Register .
Business Partner Testimonial:
Travis Credit Union
"Travis Credit Union takes great pride in its business partnership with the Napa Valley Education Foundation. Established in 2018, this strong affiliation has helped TCU support the Napa Valley communities we serve and the Napa Valley Unified School District. NVEF’s commitment to preparing students for success in school, career and life aligns powerfully with TCU’s “Awesome Cause,” our three-part guiding philosophy of providing financial education, financial literacy and financial advocacy to individuals and families. Our awesome cause, the sustaining force that sets TCU apart from banks and other financial institutions, reflects both the time-honored credit union principle of People Helping People and NVEF’s tradition of enriching and funding innovative educational programs. This year, with NVEF support, TCU presented our reality-based “Mad City Money” youth financial education boot camp to 81 New Technology High School seniors. We also conducted financial education programs for students enrolled in NVUSD’s summer internship programs, complementing the real-life career experience student interns received in the wine and hospitality industries. In partnership with NVEF, Travis Credit Union continues to positively impact Napa Valley youth by giving them the tools they need to understand their own finances, save for the unexpected, and enjoy a healthy, bright financial future."
