Next Book Study Meeting

Tuesday, March 1st @ 10:30

Join us on Tuesdays at 10:30am for our new book study "Reading the Old Testament Through Jewish Eyes". Study will run approximately 6 weeks. Books may be picked up in the church office.

Rabbi Evan Moffic has a passion for sharing Jewish faith and traditions with Christian audiences.

In Reading the Old Testament Through Jewish Eyes, Rabbi Moffic explores the first five books of the Hebrew Bible and highlights the key points of interest to Christians. He presents the biblical text and interpretations of it in the way Jewish leaders during the time of Jesus would have studied it while examining different commentaries from thousands of years of Jewish sources.

There will be an opportunity to gather for a United Methodist Women program this week. We have been invited to join the UMW women at Chatham UMC on Tuesday, March 1 at 10 am when the Sarah Circle will be meeting in the Asbury Room at Chatham UMC. There will be a program with a video with then pastor Galen Goodwin interviewing the artist who created the stained-glass windows in the sanctuary. No refreshments will be served at this meeting. Hope some of us from UMC-Madison can attend (who are not involved in the book study). It should be an interesting program and some may remember the Goodwin Family from when Dr. Robert Goodwin was pastor here at Madison UMC.

Thank you to those who helped with our week of support for St. Vincent's Church through financial donations on the website or donation of needed items for the families. The website will continue to be active for another week, and our next week of support will be June 6 of this year.

Join us for Capture the Flag, food, and fellowship.
