Message from the President & CEO
|
We are strong today because of you and the support you give the Blue Water Area Chamber. We are excited to announce in 2022, 19 businesses have joined the Chamber. We continue to grow because of you and the support you provide to us and others in the community. Last week we hosted the 14th Annual State of the County, and it was a successful event. As we continue to move forward in 2022, please take a moment to consider the opportunity to support local businesses and what that will mean for our businesses and our community to continue to thrive. As a chamber we continue to appreciate all the businesses that have supported us by investing their dollars with us. We have a few events and programs occurring in April and May, visit our website to get all the details. Please let us know how we can help.

Junction Buoy has been in Kim Roberts family for over 35 years. The Chamber appreciates her willingness to support us with gift cards, distributing our print directory and promoting the chamber. The Chamber has held events at the Junction Buoy. At the beginning of COVID, they closed because the restaurant was not able to do carryout for their customers. Junction Buoy keeps quality as a top priority as well as keeping their employees safe. Congratulations on hiring a new chef, so now the Junction Buoy can be open every day. Junction Buoy's waterfront location, great food and great service is an asset to our county. Thank you for supporting the chamber and for being a chamber member.

There’s a lot going on in St. Clair County. It was a common theme threaded by a list of accomplishments and an ideal of setting aside differences among those who spoke during Friday’s return of the State of the County. Thelma Castillo, president of the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce, which hosted the event, said it was their first time hosting the in-person event since 2019. And one by one, she and other business and government officials took turns highlighting economic development projects and bipartisan use of federal funds at the local level.
