Save the Date: Merry Movie & Magical Moments!

Kick off the holiday season with laughter, joy, and festive cheer at our Merry Movie & Magical Moments fundraiser which will be held on Nov 23, 2025 at Century Cinema 3 in downtown Lindsay!

Join us for a heartwarming community gathering as we come together to watch the beloved holiday classic Elf, starring Will Ferrell. This family-friendly event is the perfect way to get into the spirit of the season while supporting the vital work of the Community Care Foundation.

Proceeds from the event will support our Subsidy Program, which helps cover all or a portion of the cost of services we provide to our neighbours in the City of Kawartha Lakes who would otherwise be unable to afford them. This program ensures these essential supports are available to everyone in our community without introducing financial barriers.

Tickets are limited, so buy yours early at merrymovie.ccckl.ca. Tickets are $25 each which includes your admission, a small bag of popcorn, and a bottle of water.

Come with your friends, your kids or make it a solo outing! You will leave with your heart full of holiday cheer. Let’s make this season merrier, together.

Monthly Donors have a Huge Impact!

Kawartha Lakes is growing and we are experiencing an increased demand for our services. Imagine the difference you could make, not just once, but every single month. By becoming a monthly donor you provide the steady, reliable support that ensures our neighbours in the City of Kawartha Lakes receive health and community services when and where they need them.

That's the power of the "Luminary Circle". A special group of caring individuals whose ongoing generosity keeps care close to home. Here's some illustrations of the impact you can have:

$60/month ($720 annually) allows a neighbour to attend Adult Day Program twice a month, giving them connection and caregivers needed respite.

$40/month ($480 annually) provides a weekly meal delivered to the home of a senior, along with a friendly safety check.

$25/month ($300 annually) covers the cost of six return trips to Peterborough in our specialized vans, ensuring clients can reach vital medical appointments.

To start your monthly giving journey simply to donate.ccckl.ca or reach out to the Foundation by email foundation@ccckl.ca, telephone (705) 324-7323 ext. 8 or swing by our office for a visit at 152 Angeline St N. (lower level)!

Do you know a Community Care staff member, board member, or volunteer who has made a meaningful impact?

You can recognize them with a Shining Star Award! With a small donation, your nominee will receive a gold star pin, certificate, and public recognition. To learn more or make a nomination, visit our website or call our Foundation at 705-324-7323 ext. 8.
