A strategic driver for the PPMC is to help organizations best optimize resources. As we head into the last month of the year, my request to you is to take inventory of your own personal resources. In this case, your resources of time and energy.
As you look back upon the year, have you spent your time and energy on issues and efforts that are important to you, your organization, your community? This does not necessarily mean these issues are solved, but have you made progress? Are you spending your most precious resources of time and energy, where you want to spend them? If not, what can be done differently next year?
My hope is that you have spent your time and energy on those items that matter to you, your organization, and your community. In the last year, the PPMC has been heavily involved with numerous community partners on the issue of homelessness. The work is always complex, sometimes heart wrenching, and a few times “beat head on the wall” frustrating. I am so glad we have spent our time and energy with fabulous partners in our community to make progress for our most vulnerable populations.
Finally, I hope you take the opportunity to recharge your resources during the holiday season. From the heart, it is truly our privilege at the PPMC to work with great public servants that show up in all sectors. We wish you a strong finish in 2024.
