2026 Municipal Election
Are you ready to vote, Brock? Voter Information Letters have now been mailed to residents who are on the Voters' List.
Vote online or by phone - Internet and phone voting opens Saturday October 17 at 9:00 a.m. and stays open 24/7 until 8:00 p.m. on October 26.
Voting Assistance Centres offer in‑person help and Ballot-on-Demand paper ballots. Electors may attend any Voting Assistance Centre during the schedule below.

Assistance will be provided if you received a Voter Information Letter and need help voting, if you did not receive a Voter Information Letter, if your information needs to be corrected, or if you wish to request a Ballot-on-Demand.

Voter Information Letters
A Voter Information Letter (VIL) is an official letter mailed to all electors on the Voters’ List containing important election information such as.
- Voting Instructions
- Unique PIN
- Information required to vote online or by telephone
- Voting Assistance Centre locations and hours of operation
Electors are reminded to:
- Keep their Voter Information Letter in a safe place until the Voting Period opens
- Follow the instructions provided in the letter
- Use the PIN included in the letter and date of birth to vote online or by telephone

Notice of a Public Meeting
McHattie Park Design Brainstorming Session
McHattie Park Design Brainstorming Session
The Township of Brock is inviting residents, neighbours, community members and other interested members of the public to participate in a Park Design Brainstorming Meeting for the Proposed McHattie Park in the Marydel Subdivision, located at the end of Foster Hewitt Street, Beaverton, Ontario.
October 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre Auditorium

During the brainstorming session, participants will have an opportunity to:
- Share ideas about how the park could be used and enjoyed;
- Identify features, amenities and activities that are important to the community;
- Discuss opportunities and priorities for the park;
- Collaborate with Landscape Architect HKLA and Township Staff through sketching, idea boards, surveys, and more.
- Explore ideas for the park’s landscape, play, recreation, gathering and natural areas; and
- Help establish a vision for a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant park.
The ideas and feedback received during the session will be reviewed by the project team and used to help guide the development of the park design.
Whether you are a nearby resident, a parent or caregiver, a young person, a senior, a recreational user, a dog walker, a nature enthusiast, or simply someone who wants to see a great public space in the community, your perspective is important to the design process.

Film Festival 2026
The Durham Region International Film Festival (DRIFF) returns from October 22 to 24, marking a decade of bringing filmmakers and audiences together. To celebrate this milestone, a limited number of three-day Festival Passes are on sale until September 14. The Festival Pass grants access to all DRIFF events for $35 (plus applicable fees).

Lake Ridge Road Reconstruction and Rehabilitation
in Brock and Uxbridge
The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road in the Townships of Brock and Uxbridge.
When: Work is scheduled to take place from October 5, 2026, to July 2027; however, unfavourable weather conditions may affect the schedule. Construction will pause from December 1, 2026, to May 1, 2027.
Where: Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) from 200 metres north of Ravenshoe Road to 75 metres south of Concession Road 7 in the Townships of Brock and Uxbridge.
Why: To reconstruct and rehabilitate Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23).
Note: The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of work crews.
