Veterans Day
Join us to honor those who have served at our annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.

We'll gather at the Anaheim Veterans Memorial Monument, 241 S. Anaheim Blvd., for a ceremony. There will be a keynote speaker and free cake and refreshments.
Meet on Beach!
The future of Beach Boulevard is bright, and we’re ready to celebrate.

Meet us on Beach on Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We'll be closing down northbound Beach Boulevard from Orange Avenue to La Palma Avenue in Buena Park for a fun open streets party.

The idea? Jump on your bike, scooter, skateboard or your own two feet and journey the 1.5 miles from Knott’s Berry Farm’s Independence Hall in Buena Park to the West Anaheim Youth Center.

There will be food trucks, live music, giveaways and more all along the way.

Join us at the West Anaheim Youth Center for food trucks, kids activities, music and more. The Anaheim Ducks Street Team will have a street hockey rink, Alt 98.7 will have activities and giveaways, and Disney VoluntEARS will host a Junior Chef experience.

Please note: Northbound Beach Boulevard will be closed from Orange Avenue to La Palma Avenue from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 17. East/west traffic will still be let through at Lincoln and Crescent avenues. Southbound lanes on Beach Boulevard will remain open.

Maxwell Park Update
Plans for the new dog park at Maxwell Park are moving forward.

The park will include agility equipment, big and small dog areas, lighting and seating.

The features are a result of feedback we heard from residents during our community input process.

The project is scheduled to break ground by fall 2020, but staff is looking for ways to potentially make it happen even sooner.
West Anaheim Substation
Did you know we have a police station right here in District 1?

The Anaheim Police Department's West Station is right next to the West Anaheim Youth Center on Beach Boulevard.

The staff that operates out of the West Station are Homeless outreach team, Psychiatric emergency response team (PERT), and West District Community Policing Team.

And there is someone at he front counter ready to take reports from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Questions? Call them at (714) 765-7952 or (714) 765-7972.
