Danville Health Alliance
|
The
Danville Health Alliance
(DHA) met with County Commissioners Ken Holdren, Dan Hartman and Trevor Finn earlier this week. The Commissioners are "thrilled" to see the efforts of the Alliance. The mission of the five local businesses -
Altera Life, Longevity Health & Fitness, Resurrection Movement Studio, Reflex Jiu Jitsu, and Studio B Yoga Center
- is to educate others on the benefits of living a healthy, holistic lifestyle, and to help integrate lasting, positive change into the lives of community members.
In collaboration with the DBA, the Health Alliance was formed this year and has achieved a great deal over the past six months. Their first project as an Alliance was creating an option for those on a journey to becoming healthier - a punch card that allows access to all five businesses. With this card individuals can try each one and find the best option(s) for their lifestyle for a low-cost of $25 per card. The Alliance's next contribution to the community is a
health fair, scheduled for Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Hess Field which will include yoga, a 6.1 K race to highlight coronary heart disease awareness, fitness boot camp, and activities for children
. The Alliance has been working very on hard on this event and are all very excited about this new venture.
