Spring Semester 2024 - Welcome Back Week - All Invited!

A schedule of meetings and activities was emailed to everyone before the holiday break by Dr. Erika Goodwin.

The All College Meeting is Wednesday, January 3 at 10 a.m. in the auditorium on Central Campus. Lunch will be provided at 12 noon in the lobby following the meeting.

Campuses closed Jan. 15

Martin Luther King Jr. Day marks the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. In observance, SSCC will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15.

King was the chief spokesperson for nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement, which protested racial discrimination in federal and state law. The campaign for a federal holiday in King's honor began soon after his assassination in 1968.

It was officially observed in all 50 states for the first time in 2000.

Have you updated your contact information in SSCC Alerts? Winter weather can be unpredictable, so please make sure you will receive notifications about campus delays and snow closures if need be. Notifications will no longer be provided on TV/radio stations for SSCC. With the automated alert service, it is the responsibility of all SSCC employees to provide a current phone number and/or email address for notification purposes.

Please remember if there is a weather-related closure, it is important to refrain from coming to campus. Everyone’s cooperation will enhance personal safety. It also assists our maintenance personnel immensely when they can clear walks, drives, and parking lots without obstacles.
