Hello, my name is Karina A Monroy and I am pleased to introduce myself as Creciendo Juntos' new Program Coordinator! For the past year, I have had the privilege of working with the immigrant community of Oxnard, California as a Lead Facilitator and Program Coordinator for El Centrito Family Learning Centers. I am delighted to bring my passion for social justice and community engagement to the Latinx community of Charlottesville!

I am looking forward to establishing collaborations, initiatives and connections with you all.

CJ Latinx Leadership Group Meeting

Become a leader for your community! Creciendo Juntos' Lantinx Leadership Group is a new initiative aiming to build latinx leaders in our communities. Join us for wonderful group discussions, guest speakers, and overall leadership support in a safe and latinx empowered space! Our next meeting is being held on March 14th from 6-8pm at The Center For Non Profit Excellence.
CJ Mental Health Work Group Meeting

Providers interested in promoting and advocating for Mental Health Services for Latinos are invited to join our Mental Health Work Group. Our next meeting will be held:

March 22nd, 9:00-10:30am

DREAMers On Grounds: Undocumentary Press Conference
"The DREAMers group at the University of Virginia is mobilizing a press conference on the day of March 2nd in collaboration with other Virginia and DC schools and groups. The press conference will be held in front of the capital building in DC. We will invite both congressmen and the media to attend to listen to the stories of DREAMers. But we also wanted to invite you to come and make our presence known and heard. Come and stand with DREAMers."

"A representative frrom Shelter for Help in Emergency (SHE) will be speaking on local impact of abuse. A display of t-shirts by victims of abuse will be on display along with interactive art exhibits by Bolanle Adeboye, Golara Haghtalab, and Jum Jirapan. Any donations collected will benefit Shelter for Help in Emergency (SHE)."
