Since 1995, a series of annual proclamations have been made in the United States designating the month of March as “Women’s History Month.”
These proclamations celebrate the contributions and specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of different fields.
Many women right here at Southern State have made significant impacts on the college’s history over the years.
With nearly 25 years of service and leadership to the College, our current president, Dr. Nicole Roades has led the college in many different capacities.
Starting as a recruiter, Dr. Roades has held leadership positions across the college in student services, communications, advancement, and academics.
Her impact on the college has been significant and she often credits the great leaders who came before her for making it all possible.
