What's happening in May at SSCC?

Open Enrollment | May 1-15, 2025

The 2025-2026 Open Enrollment period for medical, dental, vision, and life insurances begins TODAY, May 1, and will be open through Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Your current coverages do not automatically renew and will expire June 30, 2025, if you do not complete the Open Enrollment process.

If you intend to waive coverage through SSCC, you still must complete the Open Enrollment by selecting the “Waive” option for each coverage.

Theatre Auditions May 6

SSCC Theatre Company invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to audition for its summer production of “Tiny Beautiful Things.” Auditions will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium.

Ohio Code Scholar Program - May 13

On Tuesday, May 13, Southern State will host the third annual end-of-year celebration for students, faculty, and staff involved in the Ohio Code Scholar (OCS) project. The event will occur at Central Campus from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This event is closed to the public but will include many program supporters.

Special recognition is extended to Computer Science Professor Dr. Josh Montgomery and Executive Director of Workforce Development, Mrs. Amy McClellan, for their outstanding efforts in sustaining and growing an exceptional technology-based program across southern Ohio.
