Connect to College and Career Day was held at the end of October. Over 140 high school juniors and seniors from three area high schools (Fayetteville, Georgetown, and West Union) attended the event to learn more about SSCC and our academic programs.

A big shoutout goes to SSCC Recruiter Kaylynn Bell for organizing the event and to all of the faculty and staff who also assisted. Thank you for a job well done!
SSCC Theatre will present Steel Magnolias, by Robert Harling, this weekend, November 4-6 in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium. You do not want to miss this performance.

Daylight Saving Time ends Nov. 6

The time change will happen at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6. That is when 2 a.m. local time instantly becomes 1 a.m.

A number of devices, such as computers and cellphones, will reset themselves automatically, leaving you to change clocks on older, non-connected electronics. The biannual time change is also a good reminder to swap out the batteries in your home's smoke detectors.
Congratulations to Rainee Angles, Associate Professor of Speech and Theatre and SSCC Theatre Director, on her recently published essay in an online magazine titled Dreamers.
