Cybersecurity Training -- October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Cybercriminal activity is among the most significant threats facing any organization. Education institutions are not exempt and are becoming common targets for ransom and other cybercrimes. Our main line of defense is a well-informed, cautious, and alert body of end-users. Cybersecurity Awareness Training is mandatory for all Southern State team members with computer access.

As we have done in past training experiences, the Cybersecurity Training selected for this Fall is available to you through the Dayforce Learning Platform. The training will be available beginning Monday, October 7. You will have until December 14, 2024, to complete the assigned training. You can access the training by logging into Dayforce and selecting "Learning" from the navigation menu.

Thank you in advance for treating this notification with seriousness and diligence. It is recommended that you complete this training on your desktop or laptop.

Radium Girls

Tickets go on sale October 8

SSCC Theatre will present Radium Girls, by D.W. Gregory, November 8-10 in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium. Tickets go on sale October 8.

Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. Her chief adversary is her former employer, Arthur Roeder, an idealistic man who cannot bring himself to believe that the same element that shrinks tumors could have anything to do with the terrifying rash of illnesses among his employees. As the case goes on, however, Grace finds herself battling not just with the U.S. Radium Corporation, but with her own family and friends, who fear that her campaign for justice will backfire.
