Thank you for your interest in learning about everything that is happening in El Paso County's Precinct #3! We hope this newsletter provides you with helpful information about our diverse and growing precinct. Although this newsletter is published once per month, you can always learn about what is going on in the precinct by following Commissioner Holguin on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!
Happy International Women's Month!
We are very proud to recognize all of the women who work hard every day to make our community a better place. Thank you for your dedication, strength, and compassion!
A very special thanks to County Commissioners Court for unanimously passing Commissioner Holguin's resolution for International Women’s Month. Thank you to all of the women in the El Paso community who helped with this resolution! We still have a lot of work to do to make gender equality a reality in El Paso County. We can most definitely do it!
Vaccines at Providence East
Immensely grateful to the Hospitals of Providence East Campus staff for taking such wonderful care of our community and vaccinating over 1,000 seniors last week! My staff and I are so happy that we were able to help spread the word and register those most in need!

"Caring for those who need us most is our passion. We feel fortunate to be able to continue vaccinating the vulnerable population of individuals 75 years and older in rural and underserved areas of town and being able to reach out to those individuals personally to ensure they are easily registered and scheduled for the vaccine. A special thank you to County Commissioner Iliana Holguin from Precinct 3 and her team for their public outreach efforts to ensure these vaccines went to those who needed it most."--Nicolas Tejeda, CEO, Hospitals of Providence
Ysleta del Sur Pueblo
Cultural Center
The Mission Valley is home to the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo, who settled in the region nearly 400 years ago. The Pueblo is alive with tradition and history as traditional dancing, bread-making and pottery-making are passed down from generation to generation. In February, Commissioner Holguin visited the home of Maré Silvas, who bakes traditional homemade bread outside in her orno (clay oven) every weekend. Maré learned how to make bread as a young girl from her mother, and has taught the younger generations in her family how to continue with the tradition. It was definitely a treat to take a bite out of the soft, warm, freshly-made bread on a chilly morning!

El Paso County Public Works
Thank you Commissioner Leon for joining forces to continue expanding gas and water to constituents in the rural parts of the County. Special thanks to Rita in Clint for inviting us to her home to discuss ongoing issues that need solutions.
Please contact our office (915-546-2144) if you live in County Precinct 3 (Bel Air to Tornillo and Loop 375 East To Hueco Tanks and Horizon City) and need help from the County.
Visiting Pct. #3 Businesses
Commissioner Holguin loves traveling throughout the precinct and visiting with small business owners and learning about their goods and services. In February, Commissioner Holguin stopped by the Ysleta Mission gift shop and the Eagle’s Path to pick up pottery for her office in the County Courthouse. Soon after, Commissioner enjoyed delicious elote en vaso in Socorro at El Chido Swap Meet. Commissioner Holguin also met with our Fabens constituents and of course, had to pick up lunch at Pop's Burgers while she was there! Do you want Commissioner Holguin to stop by your place of business and say hello? Let us know by sending us a message on Facebook!

Chido Swapmeet
Community Service Spotlight
Thank you to District Attorney Yvonne Rosales for asking Commissioner Holguin to serve as a judge in a high school mock trial competition! Congratulations to the students of El Paso High and Clint High School for advancing to the final round! You were great and make us all very, very proud! You will represent El Paso very well at State!
