Happy 4th of July,

El Paso!

Happy 4th of July, El Paso! As we celebrate our country’s independence, please remember the values that make us the greatest country in the world: equality, inclusion and justice for all. I hope everyone had a safe holiday!

Fabens Airport Hangar Expansion

The Fabens Airport has been an important part of the Fabens community for decades. In July, we broke ground on a project to build more hangars at the airport, which will allow us to provide more services to local pilots and the agriculture industry, as well as allow our collaboration with UTEP to grow for the benefit of all local students. A special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Olivas for all of the love and care they’ve given to the airport throughout the years!

ESD#2's New Fire Station in Fabens

Congratulations to ESD#2 on the grand opening of their new fire station in Fabens! Our firefighters now have the state-of-the-art facility that they need to keep Fabens safe! Thank you for all that you do!

New Wastewater Projects in Pct. #3

This past July, El Paso County celebrated a very exciting event in our community! I am proud to announce the beginning of construction on four new wastewater projects that will result in sewer connections for hundreds of families thanks to funding from the American Rescue Plan Act!

Kids v. Lawyers Chess Tournament

It was wonderful to host the Kids v. Lawyers Chess Tournament at the County Courthouse! Congratulations to all of the kids who participated and a huge thank you to all of the lawyers who came out to play with them!

Fabens Pool Party

Thank you to everyone who donated to make our 3rd Annual Fabens Pool Party a huge success! Because of everyone’s efforts, 200 Fabens children were able to enjoy the pool, eat great food, and have tons of fun before the start of the next school year! Thank you to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station, Constable Pct. 6 Javier Garcia, Fabens Veterans Park Committee, Fabens Neighborhood Association, County Judge Ricardo Samaniego, ESD #2, Fabens Quick Lube, La Hacienda Adult Day Care, Carrera’s Groceries, Pop’s Better Burgers and Greenbacks Financial Services!

Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s 25th Annual Volleyball Tournament

It was wonderful to see so many teens and young adults participating in the Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s 25th annual parish volleyball tournament! Thank you to all of the priests who came out to cheer on the youth from their parishes, especially Father Fabian Marquez for helping to organize this event for 10 years!

Visiting Precinct #3

San Elizario, TX

Another wonderful milestone for San Elizario! This past July, the City of San Eli celebrated the grand opening of a new McDonald’s! Thank you to all of the employees who worked so hard to make sure that the first day was a huge success! Everything was wonderful!

Fabens, TX

It’s almost time for the 2024-2025 school year to begin! Thank you to the El Paso County Housing Authority and El Paso Health for giving away 600 backpacks in Fabens this past July!

Tornillo, TX

It was great to see so many students excited about going back to school at Tornillo ISD’s Open House this past month! Good luck to all returning students and I hope that you have a wonderful school year! Thank you to everyone who donated school supplies for the Open House!

Pledge of Allegiance

Please help us applaud all of the students who recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of our weekly Commissioners Court meetings. You make us very proud!
