Campo de Estrellas

Induction Ceremony

I was honored to present a Commissioners Court resolution to Tejano music legend “Little Joe” Hernandez as he was inducted into the Campo de Estrellas/Field of Stars! Congratulations to community activist Memo Acosta, who was also inducted today! We are truly proud of their accomplishments!

Red Cross’ Sound the Alarm Event in San Elizario

Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out to help install free smoke detectors as part of the Red Cross’ Sound the Alarm event in San Elizario! Because of their efforts, hundreds of homes in San Elizario will be more protected against fire hazards.

Community Feedback Sessions

Thank you to all of the residents who attended our community engagement meeting at Ysleta High School to learn more about the County’s proposed bond projects for the November election. We appreciate everyone's input!

Knights of Columbus Annual Fundraiser

The Knights of Columbus hosted their annual fundraiser at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Fabens and the food was delicious! Our sincere gratitude goes to all of you who stopped by to show your support!

Boys Scouts of America Yucca Council

Congratulations to Christopher B. Rodriguez for becoming an Eagle Scout, which is the highest ranking that a Boy Scout can achieve! I was honored to present this very dedicated young man with a flag that had been flown over the Enrique Moreno El Paso County Courthouse in celebration of his tremendous accomplishment!

Enhanced Library Card Program

El Paso County residents can now sign up for an Enhanced Library Card, which not only gives El Paso County residents access to the City of El Paso’s library facilities, but also serves as an acceptable form of identification for residents who may not have one. Please stop by the Fabens or Agua Dulce community centers to learn more!

Visiting Precinct #3

El Paso County Sportspark

I was happy to welcome the teams competing at the Hispanic World Soft Pitch Championships at the County Sportspark this past month! Thank you to the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Cultural dancers for providing such a memorable welcome to our international visitors!

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Kermes in Fabens

It was another wonderful kermes at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Fabens! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello to me, Gabby, Javier and our summer intern Kayla! It was very hot outside, but the aguas frescas were very cold and all of the food was delicious! Thank you to everyone who donated their time to make the kermes a success!

Pledge of Allegiance

Please help us applaud all of the students who recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of our weekly Commissioners Court meetings. You make us very proud!
