National Night Out



Thank you to all of our law enforcement and military partners that participated in the National Night Out event at the Sheriff’s HQ this past October! And thank you to the El Paso Rhinos for making a special appearance and giving away free tickets to their upcoming games!

2023 Photowalk El Paso on the Mission Trail


It was my pleasure to welcome the 2023 Photowalk El Paso to the Mission Trail this past month, where local and regional photographers were able to visit and photograph our beautiful missions, as well as visit some of the incredible tourist destinations along the Trail! I can’t wait to see the winning photograph!



Familias Triunfadoras Annual Conference


This past month I was honored to speak at the Familias Triunfadoras annual conference for community health workers. Educating the community about the protections available to immigrant victims of domestic violence is a priority!

Clint Veteran’s Park


I was so happy to have taken part in repainting the gazebo in Clint Veteran’s Park. It could not have been done without the help of the Clint Veterans committee, spearheaded by Mr. Cerecerez, and the Clint High School JROTC. It looks beautiful and we're not done yet!

Sister Cities Signing Ceremony in San Elizario



It was wonderful to participate in the Sister Cities Signing ceremony with the mayors of Socorro and San Elizario, who are now sister cities with the city of Macharaviaya, Spain. Thank you to the Cultural Heritage Society of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro for adding another sister city to our region!

Promotoras de Salud Conference


I was truly honored to have been able to welcome all of the attendees of the annual Promotoras de Salud conference organized by the incredible staff of AYUDA! Promotoras play such an important role in our community!

El Paso Veterans Riders Association 2nd Annual Car Show Fundraiser


It was a beautiful day for the El Paso Veterans Riders Association 2nd annual car show fundraiser. Thank you to everyone that participated and to Shamaley Ford for hosting!

Dig Deep: A Table of Hope Conference


I am very thankful to Dig Deep for working with the County to connect El Paso colonias to water! This past year, the Cochran Colonia was connected to first-time water with funding from Dig Deep and an additional $5 million was awarded to the County to connect more colonias to water.

Socorro Homecoming Parade


The Socorro High School Homecoming Parade was truly wonderful! Thank you Rep. Rudy Cruz for joining me on the County’s Three Missions Float! Go Bulldogs!!!

Horizon HS Homecoming Parade


The El Paso County Three Missions Float was in Horizon for their Horizon High School Homecoming Parade! Way to go, Scorpions!!!

Clint Community Center



I delivered a new bingo machine and two sets of cornhole games to the senior meal program participants at the Clint Community Center this past month! The seniors can now enjoy their lunch and then get some light exercise and play some bingo!

Thank you to Principal Ritchie for hosting this month’s VA Pact Act clinic at Clint High School! More Pact Act clinics are coming to the Mission Valley very soon!

LIARS (Living In A State of Retirement)


I was able to visit my favorite LIARS (Living In A State of Retirement) in Horizon this past month to deliver a new flag to them that they can use at all of their future events! Thank you, LIARS, for all that you do to recognize and celebrate veterans in our community!

2023 Red Ribbon Block Party and Parade at the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo

It was a beautiful morning for the 2023 Red Ribbon Block Party and Parade at the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo this past month! The traditionally made oven-baked bread was delicious!

This past month was the annual Blessing of the Animals in the Spirit of St. Francis of Assisi at the Ysleta Mission! Coco, Penny, Cinnamon and Gatsby the Cat all received their blessings!

Another great Trunk or Treat event at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Ysleta! The trunks were super creative and the kids had so much fun!



Fabens Middle School Trunk or Treat


Thank you to Ms. Irma Perez for inviting me to participate in this past month’s Trunk or Treat event at Fabens Middle School! The kids’ (and the dogs’) costumes were great! Happy Halloween, Fabens!!



Hideaway Lakes Trunk-or-Treat in Tornillo


The Hideaway Lakes Trunk-or-Treat event in Tornillo was awesome! We ate too much candy and had tons of fun! Thank you to the Sheriff's Office for the hot dogs!
