I hope that all of the mothers in El Paso had a very Happy Mother’s Day! May we always remember to thank our mothers for loving us unconditionally and always being there to support us!

We love you!

Memorial Day at the Old Glory Memorial

Memorial Day is a day to honor the memory and legacy of the brave men and women that have served and protected our nation and have now passed on.

May we never forget their sacrifice!

Memorial Day Procession in Clint

I was incredibly honored to have been able to participate in the Memorial Day procession with the veterans from Clint and San Elizario. Thank you for honoring the memories of the veterans that we lost this past year. They were true American heroes and we will always be grateful for their service and sacrifice.

Neighborhoods USA Annual Conference

A huge thank you to Neighborhoods USA for bringing their annual conference to El Paso! I was honored to be the keynote speaker and have the opportunity to welcome everyone to our beautiful city! I am so proud that we were able to show off our beautiful and historic Mission Trail to the conference participants, where they were able to see exactly why the Mission Trail was named the 2023 Best Historic Site in Texas! The crawfish boil at Three Missions Brewery hosted by El Charlatán was the perfect way to end the day!

San Elceario Catholic Church Kermes

My favorite time of year is definitely kermes season! This year started off with the San Elceario Catholic Church kermes in San Elizario. The food was delicious, the Matachines were wonderful and the weather was perfect!

Flag Pole Dedication in San Elizario

Thank you to Former County Commissioner Miguel Teran and Family for their donation of a flag pole to the San Elizario veterans! The flag pole is in honor of Teresa Perez Teran and all of the mothers of the brave men and women who have served our country!

Boys Scouts of America Eagle Scout Recognition Ceremony

I was honored to have been able to present a United States flag that was flown over the Enrique Moreno El Paso County Courthouse to Clint High School student Parker Ritchey for his tremendous achievement of reaching the rank of Eagle Scout! Thank you, Parker, for your dedication to our community and country!

San Elizario Wins #1 Historic Small Town in the USA!

Congratulations to San Elizario for being recognized as the #1 Historic Small Town in the United States by USA Today! We are truly proud of San Elizario for this very well-deserved recognition!

Grand Opening of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo's Health and Human Services Building

I was honored to have been present to celebrate the Ysleta del Sur Pueblos' grand opening of their new Health and Human Services Building. Congratulations to the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo on this tremendous accomplishment, which will provide much-needed healthcare services in the Mission Valley!

First Annual Fabens Community Center Fiesta

We had so much fun at the First Annual Fabens Community Center Fiesta this past month celebrating Older Americans Month! It was wonderful that seniors from Clint and San Elizario were able to join our Fabens seniors for the celebration! Thank you to County Staff and all of our community partners for making this event such a success!

KTSM Channel 9 Visits Fabens and Clint

A big thank you to KTSM Channel 9 for visiting Fabens and Clint this past month as part of their Small Town Spotlight series! The newscasters were very impressed with the very warm welcome that they received from the students of Fabens ISD and from the Ramirez Family and Clint Mayor Ramon Cano! Tune in to see San Elizario, Socorro and Horizon City featured in June!

Robert Rojas Elementary School

Thank you to the YMCA of El Paso and Superior Health for providing hygiene items to the students at Robert Rojas Elementary School in Socorro. This was an effort to teach students about the importance of taking care of themselves and their health!

Pledge of Allegiance

Please help us applaud all of the students who recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of our weekly Commissioners Court meetings. You make us very proud!
