Day of Remebrance Ceremony

On the 5th anniversary of the tragedy of August 3, 2019, the County of El Paso unveiled a beautiful mural painted by three local artists in honor of the 23 beloved members of our community who lost their lives on that terrible day. Thank you as well to Texas Gas Service for their incredible work installing an eternal flame that will forever burn in their memory!

El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank Graduation Ceremony

I was very proud of the first graduates of the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank Sparks Training Program! Not only does our local food bank feed our community every day, but now they are also helping community members obtain the skills and certifications needed to obtain employment in the logistics and warehousing industry. Congratulations, graduates!

Groundbreaking of the new Horizon City Municipal Court and Police Department HQ

Congratulations to Horizon City on the groundbreaking of their new Municipal Court and Police Department HQ! A special thank you to Mayor Renteria and the entire city council for their leadership. We also extend our gratitude to Chief Vargas and all of the Horizon PD officers for their dedication and commitment to keeping our community safe.

International History Conference Tour of the Historic Mission Trail

A big thank you to Camila and Gabby for guiding the participants of this year’s International History Conference on an inspiring tour of our beautiful and historic Mission Trail! The itinerary included visits to the Ysleta Mission, the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Cultural Center, the Socorro Mission, Three Missions Brewery, the Presidio Chapel in San Elizario, the Portales and Veterans museums, and the Old County Jail. Your efforts helped showcase the rich history and cultural heritage of our area, making the tour a memorable experience for all involved. Thank you for your dedication and excellent representation of our community!

Visiting Precinct #3

Horizon City, TX

Thank you to Teresa and Margaret from the Starbucks on Eastlake for hosting this month’s 'Coffee with a Deputy'! Thank you to Horizon and Socorro PD for joining the Sheriff’s Office for this important community event! Keep an eye out for the next Coffee with a Deputy to meet the deputies in your area!

Clint, TX

The San Lorenzo Catholic Church Fiesta 2024 in Clint was a true success! Gabby, Javier, Camila and I volunteered to help make gorditas this year! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and picked up some gorditas, as I know you must have waited a generous amount of time in line!
