Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day
Commissioner Holguin was honored to read the County’s Resolution proclaiming March 29 Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day in El Paso County! Thank you to all of the veterans who participated in this memorial event and to the Bel Air High School ROTC for the presentation of Colors!
Vaccines in our Rural Communities
UMC Mobile Unit
We are proud of the work the UMC mobile unit is doing to bring vaccines to the outlying county communities in an effort to help bring vaccine equity to County residents not able to travel into the city. Our fight for vaccine equity is working with data showing the County rural areas starting to catch up to city vaccination rates. A special thanks goes out to UMC Nurse Tanya Chacon-Manana and all of the healthcare workers helping make the UMC mobile unit a great success!
ESD#2 Vaccination Event in Tornillo, TX
Commissioner Holguin assisted the Emergency Services District #2 with administering vaccines in Tornillo to county residents in March and April. Thank you to all of the volunteers, County Judge Samaniego, the Constables, National Guard, Texas State Health Services, the Rio Grande Council of Governments and ESD # 2 for making it all possible!
ESD#2 Vaccination Event in Montana Vista

A true success in reaching our rural community of Montana Vista! Thank you to Emergency Services District#2, our Constables, the Rio Grande Council of Governments, the National Guard, the State Health Services Department and all of the dedicated County of El Paso staff that volunteered to administer 1,400 shots in Montana Vista!

El Paso County Mission Trail
What a privilege it was to attend the groundbreaking for the historical marker erected in San Elizario,TX. Thank you El Paso County Historical Commission for spearheading this project and former San Elizario Geneological and Historical Society President Al Borrego for giving us a tour.
Special thanks to Mayor Oscar Leeser, El Paso District 6 City Representative Claudia Rodriguez and El Paso Economic Development Director Michael Hernandez for joining us on the Mission Valley Transit route in hopes of bringing more tourism to our beautiful missions in Ysleta, Socorro and the San Elizario Presidio.
El Paso County Unveils Deputy Peter John Herrera's Memorial Sign
Commissioner Holguin was honored to unveil the memorial sign for Deputy Peter John Herrera on March 24, surrounded by his family and so many of our Sheriffs and local law enforcement officers. Thank you to all of our law enforcement officers for your dedication and service to our community. Deputy Herrera’s memory will never be forgotten.

Visiting with Residents of Cuadrilla
Thank you to the residents of Cuadrilla for meeting with Commissioner Holguin on a Saturday morning to discuss their infrastructure needs! We look forward to having community meetings like this one throughout the precinct!
Alamo Drafthouse Theater

Commissioner Holguin was very happy to have been at the grand opening of the new Alamo Drafthouse theater in Far East El Paso! Not only will Alamo create over 150 jobs in the area, but will also provide Far East El Paso families with great family-friendly entertainment!
Community Service Spotlight
We would like to thank Olivia and Miguel from the non-profit organization AYUDA in San Elizario for helping the County and our office provide emergency food aid to residents of various colonias within the County. This is the type of partnership our county needs to make a difference. We must continue to work together to increase the help and support available to those in most need as we navigate through this pandemic and recovery.
