SSCC Spotlights

To further create a sense of belonging and community (as well as to learn more about our co-workers in the SSCC family), the College proudly presents “SSCC Spotlights."

Each month, one faculty member and one staff member will be featured with fun facts and photos in a wall display at our Central Campus (100 hallway) and at the Brown Co. location (lobby area), as well as on our new “SSCC Spotlights” webpage. Click here to check out who is featured this month!

Walk-A-50 Challenge

You have been challenged to complete a mission, so find your core strength...... It’s the Walk-A-50, only a 3K in length. (1.864 miles)

If you are up for this challenge, join the Communications Department on Wednesday, September 10^th at the Central Campus track (look for the red SSCC pop-up tent). You will need to sign in at the tent to begin.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Stop by anytime during these hours to participate.

Those who complete the challenge will have the opportunity to receive prizes as well as earn wellness credit.

A similar event is being planned for the Brown Co. location.

2025-26 Deep Data Dive Schedule

Continuing our strategic priority of Relevance and Excellence and the related goal of promoting data transparency, please check out the 2025-2026 Deep Data Dive Series.

As in past series, these presentations are designed to help all members of the college community, regardless of role, connect with our data. Essentially, it’s a subtle invitation for all to broaden knowledge and understanding of the inputs and outputs that sustain the College.

Participation is voluntary, and the series is conveniently delivered in webinar format. The upcoming series will include some familiar topics along with several new areas. Guest presenters will guide participants through each topic, making the material approachable for both novice and experienced individuals.

A separate calendar invitation with login instructions will be distributed before each topic.. Each topic will be covered in about 45 minutes. Please join the topics that interest you or the entire series.
