Sunday in-person worship and livestream
We're welcoming up to 30 people for our 9:00 am Sunday worship service. Please arrive for worship by 8:55 am. There is no pre-registration, but masks, health self-certification, and physical distancing are still required. We continue to offer the livestream on YouTube.
We're also celebrating communion immediately after the service in the sanctuary and also outdoors at 10:15 am, in a brief, but full communion service. You can always arrange a communion visit with Pastor Trudy or Vicar Amber.
Pastor Trudy's Sunday Message
More grace. In the book of Galatians Paul shares another side of the story we heard last week of the debate about circumcision and the relationship between Peter and Paul. Let's just say he's less diplomatic about it than the writer of Acts, but only because he feels so strongly that the message of grace not be weakened. The message of grace is weakened every time we fall back into our habits of thinking about what we do and have as our own rather than as a gift from God to use for God's glory.

God, all we have is a gift from You and pure grace. The greatest gift is Jesus, through whom we experience this grace most completely. In His name, Amen.

Real questions from real people to learn more about faith
Grace is great to think about, but what can I do?

We are people of action and people who like to be in control. That's right, you are not the only one! Grace is not something to add to our to-do list, but it does invite us to pause and offer a brief prayer before we speak or act in the midst of our busy lives. The prayer? Thank you God for this moment and its gifts. Whatever we do will flow from this gratitude!
We lift up in prayer
  • Michelle Smith, friend of Mitzi Pearson
  • Kelly McKenna, daughter of Rob & Kim McKenna, having surgery
  • Gloria Nephew, on the deaths of both her sister, Patsy, and her brother, Paul Romans
  • All those with COVID-19
  • Gratitude for those able to reunite with loved ones
  • For comfort and strength for those continuing to struggle with loss and grief
  • Continued patience during this time
  • Thanksgiving for signs of new life

Notes from the GLC Community
Not sure who delivered the beautiful Easter tulips, but a belated thank you for thinking about me. I am "drying" them out now and will plant them in the fall —such a warm feeling to remind me of Easter Sunday and Geneva Lutheran.
God bless and with love, Joan Schrock
What happened when Marlys invited Marian to watch YouTube Church!
Who or what possessed me to go to Marlys' apartment yesterday to see & hear the service at Geneva Lutheran Church? Miracle of miracles! There was Matt Slifka playing a lovely piano solo! It brought back so many good memories of the first time I heard him play. God works in mysterious ways! Marian
