District receives $46 million from state agency toward new high school's construction
Lancaster City Schools recently received $46,431,850 from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) for the new Lancaster High School that will house grades 9-12 and the career tech program. This is Ohio’s share of the total projected cost of $120 million to build the new school.

“We have been blessed to be a part of a state education system that values school facilities and its impact on student learning,” said Nathan Hale, LCS Superintendent. “The new Lancaster High School will reflect the best practices in design, construction, and safety, and will meet the needs of our ever-growing school district."
