ECE Funding Opportunities

Request For Applications: Dual Language Immersion Grant 2022 Deadline of intent: February 25, 2022 Deadline for proposal: March 18, 2022 The California Department of Education (CDE) Multilingual Support Division announced that the Request for Applications (RFA) for the Dual Language Immersion Grant (DLIG) is now available.  The purpose of the Dual Language Immersion Grant (DLIG) is to expand or establish dual language immersion programs that provide integrated language learning and academic instruction for native speakers of English and native speakers of another language, with the goals of high academic achievement, first and second language proficiency, and cross-cultural understanding. DLIG funds shall be used for activities that directly support the development of dual language immersion programs in elementary and secondary schools, grades TK–12. Interested applicants are required to submit the DLIG Intent to Submit an Application Electronic Form to the California Department of Education (CDE) Language Policy and Leadership Office by 4 pm PST on February 25, 2022. Instructions for submitting the DLIG application. All applicants must submit a complete application by Friday, March 18, 2022, at 4 pm PST

OECE Request for Proposals (RFP) #984: Child Care Facilities Funding & Technical Assistance (CCFF&TA) Deadline: March 9, 2022 The Child Care Facilities Funding & Technical Assistance (CCFF&TA) program is designed to preserve, to improve and to expand the supply and quality of licensed Early Care and Education (ECE) facilities in San Francisco through the provision of focused technical assistance, grants, loans, leveraged financing, and system-wide improvements. The CCFF&TA program provides expertise and a centralized resource for ECE providers to access support for all things related to the facilities, capital or renovation project support. This RFP consists of two separate funding opportunities: 1. CCFF&TA program for Early Education Centers 2. CCFF&TA program for Family Child Care Respondents can apply to administer either one or both of these programs. Demanding Change: Repairing our Child Care System February 23, 2022 at 1pm-2pm Cost: FREE! Child Care Aware will host a webinar to present key findings from their most recent report: Demanding Change: Repairing our Child Care System. They will discuss changes in the supply of child care since the pandemic began, provide information on child care prices and how these prices compare to inflation and highlight case studies they conducted on child care demand and the child care workforce.
