Saint Arnold White Oak Pub Crawl

The World Famous Saint Arnold Pub Crawl returns to White Oak on Saturday, February 15.

If you've lived in Houston for awhile, you probably know the drill. If you've never attended one of their Pub Crawls, now's the perfect time to start! They're easy, fun and a refreshing way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Here's how it works:

  • Start at any of the first five stops between 2 and 3 p.m. to get your punch card.
  • After that, hit the rest of the stops in any order before 6 p.m. You don't have to enjoy a few Saint Arnold beers along the way, but it'd be a lot cooler if you did.
  • At 6 p.m., everyone will gather at the final stop where prizes will be awarded for making all the stops -- a fancy Saint Arnold pint glass (a large, but limited, quantity of glasses will be available).

Designated drivers are eligible for the award and are encouraged to attend!

These are the first five stops:

Little Woodrow’s

BB’s Tex-Orleans

Bobcat Teddy’s

Christian’s Tailgate

EZ’s Liquor Lounge

Final Stop:

Onion Creek

Saturday, March 1 @ 11:30 a.m.

District H Town Hall @ Wesley Community Ctr.

Infrastructure improvements

Quitman Street update

The Quitman Pedestrian-Transit Improvements Project is GNMD's capital infrastructure project in partnership with multiple partners from the City of Houston, METRO, Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia and Hardy TIRZ 21.

It includes improvements to the pedestrian realm, such as ADA accessible sidewalks and ramps, landscaping, solar lights and more. The streetscape improvements along Quitman Street will enhance the sense of place and preserve the cultural fabric by augmenting the overall quality of the area. The project extends along 1.5 miles of Quitman Street from west of Houston Avenue to west of Elysian Street.

Temporary North Main Park & Ride closure

The North Main Park & Ride will be closed for approximately two weeks beginning on Monday, January 27, for the construction of the driveway.

Patrons can park in the areas marked by the orange stars. We apologize for any inconvenience.

MKT Heights Hike-and-Bike Trail

and White Oak Bayou Greenway detour notice

Houston Parks Board would like to inform you that the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), as part of their I-10 Inner Katy Corridor project, has upcoming closures and corresponding detours for the MKT Heights Hike-and-Bike Trail (MKT Trail) and the White Oak Bayou Greenway.

Starting Monday, January 13, portions of the MKT Trail and White Oak Bayou Greenway will be closed to all trail users near and underneath I-10, as shown here: https://arcg.is/14zTaz3.

The trails are being closed due to TxDOT's work to start demolition of the outside lanes on I-10 Westbound. Work is estimated to be completed in early February.
