Greetings!
Does everyone agree with me--it's too hot for September!!! I am ready for it to cool off so we can start wearing our "transition" outfits and cooking up big pots of chili. It is also time for our fall schedule. This schedule is for the rest of 2018--October, November, and December. I hope there is a class for everyone. Our private lessons seem to fill in the gap when student schedules don't fit ours.
My fall projects revolve around my Alabama Chanin slow sewing. I just cut out the Fen dress pattern from Fancy Tiger Crafts out of AC organic cotton knit. The fabric is a delight to work with and will create a nice, casual dress. The only embellishment with be fancy stitching around the neck edge and at the waist.
November brings us our annual sewing retreat to Montgomery Bell State Park. Students will work on their own projects for the weekend with expert help from our teachers. Enrollment is very limited so take a look below for more details.
Our December "month" of classes will be two weeks long so we can all enjoy our Christmas holiday break.
Hugs,
Marguerite
PS: Don't forget our
Open House, Sunday, September 23rd, 3:00-5:00. Come see our State Fair winning garments.
