Advent is hosting the 2021 Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday November 21st at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. This will be an ecumenical gathering of local churches including music and the spoken word.

Representatives from KACS, the Maternal and Child Health Consortium and Young Moms will each share a “witness of thanksgiving” as the featured speakers.

Please join us for this celebration of thanks for God’s many blessings! Masks must be worn.

Did you receive or maybe even buy more calendars than you can use for 2022??Pocopson Home is in need of calendars for their residents. So, if you are receiving calendars for 2022 and would like to help, please bring them to church and put them on the table inside the side opening of church. They will be greatly appreciated! Meet and Potatoes

Are you and your family looking for a fun, family way to "give back" during this month of Thanksgiving? Consider decorating some paper bags for Meet and Potatoes. This is a do-it-yourselves project that kids love. It also helps us get our bags ready for potato packing on December 5, 2021. We need 600 bags ready to go!

Follow these easy steps:

1. Go to the St Elizabeth room at Advent. On the table, you will see plain bags, some stickers, markers, and a sign-out sheet.

2. Take as many bags and stickers as you’d like.

3. Fill out the sign-out sheet so we know how many people have taken bags.

4. Decorate only one side of the bags and leave a 1-2” space clear at top for folding and hold punching. Decorate using whatever you’d like - crayons, markers, stickers, etc.

5. Return to the St Elizabeth room by Wednesday, December 1.

Then join us on Sunday, December 5, between 9:30-10:30am for Meet and Potatoes.

Thanks to YOU, our Stewardship Campaign has reached 87% of our goal!! We are sincerely grateful for your pledge and encouraged by the responses that continue to come in. 139 pledges have come in thus far bringing us to $454,432...that's 139 families who have answered the call to meet the needs of the church! As we enter into the fourth week after Celebration Sunday, we ask that if you haven't yet made a pledge for 2022, please go to our website or call the church office to do so today. Here's what's happening this Sunday!

Looking forward to 11/21 we will be decorating "Positivity Rocks" to place around the church grounds and around public spaces in Kennett. Keep your eyes peeled for some good rocks to paint and be sure to bring them with you on 11/21 along with clothes that can get paint on them! ~ Emma
