Kiwanis Foundation of Canada 2023-2024 Annual Report
On behalf of the Kiwanis Foundation of Canada, we would like to thank everyone for another great year, in our role of assisting Kiwanis clubs in Canada. For those that contributed to the Foundation, thank you and we hope your club was able to take advantage of the one or more of programs we offer.
The Foundation was able to write scholarship cheques in the amount of $150,240, with the majority being the matching scholarship program. The Dr. John Button Scholarship of two $5,000 scholarships was awarded for the third year to selected Key and Circle K members.
This year we made grant contributions of $84,327 for the various programs, which included the new Outreach and Environmental grants.
This is over $234,567 that flowed back into your communities.
The new Outreach and Environment grants were a huge success, with $49,450 being issued to 23 clubs. The focus of these grants was to promote Kiwanis-led projects and to increase hands-on Kiwanis participation in them. Think of these two points when applying next year.
The Foundation depends upon your contributions and our investment income to fund these programs. To take advantage of these programs, your club must be an annual donor of $15 per member.
Last year 106 clubs made their annual donation. We offer member and community awards to honour the service your members make to their community,
Thank you for a successful 2023-2024.
