Hello Glastonbury!

I can’t believe how quickly July flew by – it seems like just last week we were celebrating the start of the summer reading program Color Your World, and now we’re almost done! We’ve been running full-speed, but as the program winds down, I’m looking forward to enjoying the final weeks of summer at a slower pace. I’m excited to take some time to visit some of our local museums with my kids- using the library’s Museum Passes, of course, to keep it affordable (and maybe have something left for the gift shops?). Beyond that, we’ll probably check out some board games to play in the AC (to beat the heat & stay screen-free!), borrow the library’s projector & screen for an outdoor family movie night, and bring our tablets to the beach so we can read magazines on Flipster and Libby while we relax by the shore. We’ll listen to an audio book on the way, and probably practice some of the drawing and/or friendship bracelet making we learned on Creativebug while we’re there, too. I can’t think of a better day.

Maybe I’m biased, but it feels like the Library can really help make summer special – I hope you have been finding ways to let WTML help you enjoy your summer, too. If not, it’s not too late – we have all of August to enjoy together! Reserve an item by placing a hold or sign up for a library resource today.

Happy summer,

Amy
