What's in a Number? Feng Shui and Numerology

Numbers are all around us and in Feng Shui they can dictate outcomes, define a person and even help us find the right place to live or start a business.  In this month’s newsletter, we unlock the mystery of numerology for you.

Welcome
Everything has a frequency, and in Feng Shui, we often look at the numeric value of both our client's birth date and homes. The frequency or characteristics of numbers are very helpful when thinking about or working with the Feng Shui of a space. Here is formula for identifying your birth and life path numeric value as well as the frequency of your home.

Numerology - Numeric frequency formula.

To identify your home's frequency: add each of the numbers of your address to achieve a single digit. Example an address of 156 = 1 + 5 + 6 = 12  Break the 12 down 1+2 = 3, there for a home with the numerology has the numeric value of 3. Although each number contributes it's own frequency we pay close attention to the final characteristics of 3.

To identify your birth or life path number: take your date of birth
1.  MM/DD/YEAR for instance 02/19/1964
2.  Now add each number such as 0+2+1+9+1+9+6+4=32
3.  To bring it down to a single digit add 3+2=5.
4.  Based on the birthday, the number of the person born on this date is 5.

Many authors have written about the characteristics of numbers - a great starting point includes the expert pieces below, both the article by Donna Stellhorn and video by Karen Rauch Carter.  Use those characteristics of your number to gain clarity to your personal frequency and the potential you have when you are balanced and aligned to your divine path.
