Vigon Celebrates Thanksgiving Supporting Local Businesses

This Thanksgiving Vigon partnered with a local business, The Village Farmer & Bakery, to help our team members celebrate the holiday.

Each member of the team was gifted an apple pie and a pumpkin pie from one of the oldest bakeries in our area!

We were thrilled to support a small business during these uncertain times. Village Farmer & Bakery were incredibly accommodating and flexible as well. The best part was the pies were absolutely delicious!

Vigon Improves Connectivity

This month, Vigon began the process of upgrading our fiber optics between facilities. The upgrade in lines will improve Vigon's network speed and connectivity 10x, from 1 gigabit to 10 gigabit.

The process involves pulling new fiber into the 20 year old conduit, which is located below ground between our buildings.

Vigon Installs New Infolink Software on Forklifts

We recently began installation of a new program called Infolink on all of our Crown forklifts.

The Infolink software, which is also made by Crown, cloud-connects to monitors installed on each forklift. Each monitor prompts our operators to perform a real-time OSHA compliance inspection before each forklift use. Without this inspection, the forklift is disabled.

The software also records forklift usage, thus tracking the productivity of the driver. The software also records any routine damage, and sends alerts when maintenance is required.

Tell us a little bit about your background.

I went to college at BMCC where I majored in business management. I have held various positions throughout my career, such as Customer Service Manager & Customer Demand Planner. I truly enjoy planning; as I like working with numbers. However, the best job I have ever had is being a mom to my amazing son & daughter!

What do you like best about your job?

I truly enjoy the team camaraderie and the opportunity to work in a newly developed position here at Vigon. It gives me the opportunity to learn and grow while utilizing my previous experience!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Besides spending time with my children and my dogs, my true passion is cooking. I can always be found in my kitchen creating new recipes and making some of my favorites for loved ones!
