Vigon President Receives Philanthropy Award
Vigon Owner and President Steve Somers was awarded a Philanthropy Award from the Brooklyn Diocese of the Catholic Church. This is an incredibly high distinction; and is a Papal Honor given by Pope Francis.

Steve was recognized for his generous support of the Catholic Church and of the Cathedral Preparatory School & Seminary of the Diocese of Brooklyn. He is also a member of the board of St. Joseph's College (SJC), and recently contributed to the construction of a new state of the art athletic facility at the school. In addition to these efforts, Steve has donated his time and knowledge to SJC through multiple presentations and events, including a few at Vigon.

Tell us a little bit about your background.
I went to Centenary University in Hackettstown, NJ where I majored in partying, baseball, and business management; in that order. After graduating I met Steve's daughter, Kristin, and for some reason she agreed to marry me. I then got an opportunity to join the amazing team here at Vigon.
What do you like best about your job?
Learning and growing with a supportive team. Also having the ability to learn more about the business and industry as a whole.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spending time with my daughter Lola, and (prior to Covid) training Jiu Jitsu to fight off this Dad-bod.
