Awareness Inspires Conservation

White Shark Research with AWSC

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy (AWSC) is a nonprofit organization supporting scientific research, educating the community, and improving public safety.


Come learn about the ongoing white shark research projects being conducted and funded by the AWSC, how that research is impacting conservation and public safety efforts, and up-to-date information on what that research has taught us.


This event will be held in Community Rooms AB.

Under Two Flags: A Novel of World War I

Local Author Talk with Janis Robinson Daly

MONDAY, JULY 20 | 2:00 PM | IN-PERSON


Join us for an engaging talk with Cape Cod, award-winning historical fiction author Janis Robinson Daly as she shares her inspiration and research which led to writing her latest historical novel.


Drawing upon the memoir of eighteen-year-old Josephine Therese Marzynski, a Boston opera student trapped in Berlin during World War I, Daly explores how Josephine's passion for music drives her strength to endure even in humanity’s darkest hours.


Copies of Daly's books will be available for purchase.

This local author talk will be held in Community Rooms AB.

Millway Beach Cleanup

with Keep Barnstable Beautiful

MEET AT 330 MILLWAY, BARNSTABLE, MA 02632


Please join Barnstable Natural Resources and other town organizations to clean up Millway Beach.

Gloves, trash bags, and pickers will be provided.


Free, no registration required, and open to the public. Will be held rain or shine so dress accordingly!

Please be advised:

If you do not have a beach sticker, you will be charged if you stay in the lot after 9 AM!

Name Our Monkey! Sketch Contest

The Children’s Room is hosting a drawing and naming contest for our new stuffed monkey! 


Pick up instructions from the Children's Desk, draw our new monkey friend, and include your idea for his name!


Winners will be chosen from two age categories:

6-9 and 10-13

Winners will be announced the second week of August.
