The 24th Annual Golf Outing is quickly approaching. The outing is taking place on Thursday, June 27th at Lake Panorama! Check-in is at 9 am, Tee-Time is at 10 am. Laborshed Study
Laborshed Study Being Conducted in Midwest Partnership Regions
Midwest Partnership Economic Development Corporation is partnering with Iowa Workforce Development and Iowa Economic Development Authority to complete a Laborshed employment study in the Midwest Partnership Region.The purpose of this Laborshed study is to measure the availability and characteristics of workers. Laborshed studies are useful tools for economic development teams and existing or prospective employers to understand the local labor market, make informed expansion and site selection decisions, and maintain/recruit a high quality workforce.


"This is Iowa" Campaign
Governor Kim Reynolds recently shared a video where actors went to New York and showed the people of New York available living spaces in Iowa. The people were amazed by the low prices, modern amenities, short commutes, and award-winning recreation and culture that is in Iowa!

RAGBRAI is quickly approaching! This year the bikers will be traveling on White Pole Road on July 22nd! Stuart is a meeting town this year! 2019 Downtown Forum
The Iowa Downtown Resource Center will offer several downtown forums in July focusing on the characteristics of a successful downtown. The day will include a self-assessment tool and discussion topics in five major areas – characteristics that contribute to the success of a downtown. There will also be an overview of programs and grant opportunities for downtowns. Attendees will share experiences relating to the downtown forum discussion and communicate with other community leaders regarding the exciting things occurring in their commercial districts .
