Enock, a dedicated member of the Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge team for over 20 years, has a remarkable story. Born and raised in Mahenye village, he used to hunt in what is now Gonarezhou National Park. Today, Enock has transformed his life and become our esteemed head gardener, while also establishing his own business within the lodge.
Enock warmly invites guests to his homestead, where they can spend an afternoon immersing themselves in his rich heritage. From the use of medicinal plants to the art of extracting salt from the very soil beneath your feet, and the methods of accessing fresh water, Enock shares his ancestral knowledge with passion and enthusiasm.
