My husband Foster and I moved to Toledo this summer from southeast Kansas. As a lifelong nonprofit executive, I began looking for new opportunities. When I saw the opening at DYS, I remembered back to years ago when two of my friends’ children were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and to this day I remember how the diagnosis changed their daily lives. I am excited to be a part of this dynamic organization whose mission is that every child should grow up to be healthy, self-reliant, and connected to their community. However, it is never easy to step into someone’s shoes who has made an immense impact on DYS families. Beth has grown DYS through her savvy marketing skills and fundraising prowess with one goal in mind to make life easier for families who have a child with type 1 diabetes. If you would like to help us celebrate Beth’s dedication to DYS, you can make a gift in her honor by clicking here:
